Ingredients for 20 servings:
1. 1 lb bacon
2. 10 ounces pitted dates
3. 1/8 lb parmigiano-reggiano cheese
Directions:
1. Cut bacon in half crosswise.
2. Cook bacon in a skillet to get most of fat out (do not let brown), then drain on paper towel.
3. Cut cheese in small rectangles to slide into dates.
4. Slide cheese into open end of pitted dates.
5. Wrap cheese filled date in 1/2 piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
6. Cook at 400 for 15 minutes until bacon is crisp.
