Ingredients for 4 servings:
1. 1 cup onion, chopped
2. 2 (15 ounce) cans chili beans, drained (hot kidney beans)
3. 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans tomatoes, drained and chopped
4. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
5. 1/4 teaspoon pepper
6. 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
7. cooking spray
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Coat a nonstick skillet with cooking spray and place over medium-high heat.
3. Add onion; saute until tender.
4. Stir in beans next three ingredients; cook 3 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring well.
5. Place in one 8 inch baking dish or four 8 ounce individual dishes; sprinkle with cheese.
6. Bake uncovered for 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
7. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
