Ingredients for 1 servings:
1. 1 loaf sourdough baguette
2. butter, softened
3. garlic salt
4. 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
5. 1/2 cup mayonnaise
6. 2 cups cheese, shredded (any variety or combination of varieties that you like)
Directions:
1. If bread is not pre-sliced, cut into 1/2 inch thick pieces.
2. Place bread slices onto a cookie sheet or broiler pan. Spread thin layer of butter on each slice of bread, and sprinkle a small amount of garlic salt on top of butter.
3. Mix remaining ingredients together in a bowl. Spread a layer of cheese mixture onto each piece of bread.
4. Place pan of bread under the broiler. Watch the bread carefully because it will burn easily. Remove bread from broiler when the cheese is lightly browned, and serve immediately.
