Ingredients for 16 servings:
1. 3 lbs ground beef or 3 lbs ground venison
2. 4 teaspoons sugar
3. 1/4 cup prepared yellow mustard
4. 12 fluid ounces beer
5. 1/4 teaspoon cayenne (or more to taste)
6. 2 cloves garlic, minced or 2 teaspoons instant minced garlic
7. salt & pepper
8. 8 slices American cheese
Directions:
1. Brown the meat & drain fat.
2. Stir in sugar, mustard, beer, cayenne, garlic and salt & pepper to taste.
3. Simmer until liquid has mostly cooked away.
4. Lay slices of cheese over top of meat, then cover for about 5 minutes, with heat on very low, until cheese has melted.
5. Stir cheese into meat.
6. Serve hot, on sandwich buns or bread, or over hot potatoes or rice.
