Ingredients for 36 servings:
1. 3/4 cup butter
2. 1 cup sugar
3. 1/4 cup molasses
4. 1 egg
5. 2 teaspoons baking soda
6. 2 cups sifted flour
7. 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
8. 1/2 teaspoon ginger
9. 1 teaspoon cinnamon
10. 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375º.
2. Melt butter in 3-4 quart saucepan over low heat.
3. Add sugar, molasses and egg. Beat well.
4. In a separate bowl, mix flour, soda salt and spices. Add to first mixture.
5. Chill, form into 1-inch balls, roll in grandulated sugar and place on greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
6. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
