Ingredients for 3 servings:
1. 1 lb asparagus, fresh,trimmed
2. 6 tablespoons butter
3. 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
4. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1. Melt the butter over medium high heat.
2. Allow to boil until lightly browned (do not burn).
3. Remove from the heat, Add the garlic, salt and pepper and allow to steep for 10 minutes.
4. Steam the asparagus to the desired tenderness.
5. Serve warm with the butter sauce ladled over it.
