Ingredients for 6 servings:
1. 1 lb beef stew meat
2. 4 carrots, cut in chunks
3. 1 onion, chopped
4. 2 -3 stalks celery, cut in chunks
5. 2 -3 medium potatoes, cut in chunks
6. 1 medium turnip, cut in small chunks or diced
7. 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can whole tomatoes or 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, undrained
8. 1 dash thyme
9. 1 dash oregano
10. 1 pinch salt or 1 pinch salt substitute
11. 1 low-sodium beef bouillon cube
12. 1 1/2 cups water
Directions:
1. Stir all ingredients together in slow cooker/crockpot.
2. Cover and cook all day on low.
3. Stir gently and serve with green veggies.
