Ingredients for 6 servings:
1. 2 (15 1/2 ounce) cans comstock apple pie filling
2. apple pie spice, as much as you desire, to taste
3. 1 (18 ounce) box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
4. 3/4 cup melted butter
5. 1/2 cup chopped pecans
6. ice cream or Cool Whip, for topping
Directions:
1. Spread apple pie filling in a 13×9-inch dish and sprinkle with the apple pie spice.
2. Pour dry cake over the filling.
3. Pour melted butter over the cake.
4. Top with nuts.
5. Bake 350°F for 1 hour or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
6. Serve with ice cream or a dollop of Cool Whip.
