Ingredients for 1 servings:
1. 1 1/2 cups large flake oats (oatmeal)
2. 2 teaspoons flax seeds, ground
3. 2 1/2 cups milk
4. 3 1/2 cups water
5. 1/3 cup dried dates, diced
6. 1/3 cup dried apple, diced
7. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
8. 1/3 cup brown sugar
9. 3 tablespoons slivered almonds, toasted
Directions:
1. In a re-sealable container, combine the oats, flaxseed, milk and water. Refrigerate overnight. Early in the morning, pour the mixture into a saucepan and add the dried fruit and cinnamon. Cook on low for approximately 15 minutes while stirring often. Add brown sugar and serve with the slivered almonds.
