Ingredients for 4 servings:
1. 1 lb ground beef
2. 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
3. 1/2 teaspoon basil
4. 1 egg
5. 1 clove minced garlic
6. 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can French onion soup
7. 1/4 cup water
8. 3 -4 peeled potatoes, cut into chunks
9. 3 -4 peeled carrots, cut into chunks
10. 1 medium onion, cut into wedges
11. garlic toast, sliced
Directions:
1. Combine beef, crumbs, basil, egg and garlic.
2. Shape into 20 balls.
3. Brown in deep skillet over medium low heat.
4. Drain fat.
5. Stir in soup, water and vegetables.
6. Heat to boiling.
7. Reduce heat and simmer, covered 30 minutes until veggies are tender.
8. Add a little more water if necessary.
