Ingredients for 6 servings:
1. 1/2 lb smoked bacon, diced
2. 1 onion, thinly sliced
3. 1 head red cabbage, cored and sliced
4. 2 tablespoons caraway seeds
5. 3 tablespoons coarse grain mustard
6. 12 ounces wheat beer
7. 2 tablespoons sugar
8. salt and pepper
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, cook the bacon over low heat.
2. Add the onions and sweat for 2 minutes.
3. Add remaining ingredients and season.
4. Cook until cabbage is tender, about 30 minutes.
