Ingredients for 6 servings:
1. 6 slices bacon, chopped
2. 1 lb okra, sliced
3. 1 1/2 cups dry long grain rice
4. 1 1/4 cups water
5. salt and pepper
Directions:
1. Fry bacon until half cooked. Add okra and cook five minutes. Stir in rice, water, and salt and pepper. Pour mixture in a rice steamer. cook 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until the rice just starts to dry.
