Ingredients for 4 servings:
1. 1 (16 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
2. 1 cup tomato puree
3. 1 cup water
4. 1/2 medium white onion, chopped
5. 1/4 cup garlic paste
6. 1/2 cup oil
7. 1/4 cup vinegar
8. 4 tablespoons dried oregano
9. 1 teaspoon salt
10. 4 de arbol chilies or 4 guajillo chilies, crushed
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to the boil and turn off the heat.
2. Cool. Taste and adjust seasoning.
3. Can be served cold or hot.
4. Refrigerate up to 1 week.
