Ingredients for 2 servings:
1. 3/4 lb beef round steak, 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick
2. 2 tablespoons flour
3. 1/4 teaspoon salt
4. 1/8 teaspoon pepper
5. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
6. 1 (8 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
7. 1 medium green pepper, sliced
8. 1 medium onion, sliced
9. 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Cut meat into 2 pieces.
2. Mix flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt and the pepper; coat meat with flour mixture.
3. Heat oil in 8-inch skillet; brown meat over medium heat about 15 minutes.
4. Add tomatoes to skillet.
5. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 30 minutes.
6. Add green pepper, onion and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
7. Cover and simmer until meat is fork tender, 30-45 minutes. (Add small amount of water if necessary).
