Ingredients for 4 servings:
1. 1 tablespoon oil
2. 3/4 cup long grain rice, white
3. 2 ounces vermicelli, broken into 1-inch lengths
4. 1 small onion, finely chopped
5. 1 (14 ounce) can chicken broth
6. 1 bay leaf
7. 1/4 cup chopped parsley
Directions:
1. Heat oil in med pan over med. heat. Add rice and spag. cook stirring constantly until golden brown; 3-5 minutes.
2. Add onion and cook stirring 3 mins longer. Add broth and bayleaf. Bring to a boil. Lower heat, and simmer covered until rice is tender and broth is absorbed; 15-17 minutes Remove from heat, discard leaf. Fluff with fork, stir in parsley.
