Ingredients for 6 servings:
1. 4 cups fresh-from-the-garden tomatoes, chopped
2. 1/3 cup packed fresh basil, snipped into small pieces with kitchen shears
3. 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
4. 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
5. 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
6. 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
7. 4 tablespoons canola oil
8. 1 clove garlic, minced
Directions:
1. Place chopped tomatoes in an attractive, medium sized bowl.
2. Place all other ingredients in a shaker jar and shake to combine.
3. Pour vinaigrette over tomatoes and stir to coat.
4. Stir occasionally until ready to serve.
5. Marinate at room temperature for at least one hour.
6. Serve at room temperature.
