Ingredients for 1 servings:
1. 4 medium carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
2. 2 stalks celery, tough strings peeled, stalks cut into chunks
3. 2 medium onions, roughly chopped
4. 1 leek, halved lengthwise and washed thoroughly
5. 2 fresh garlic cloves
6. 2 1/4 quarts water
Directions:
1. In a large pot, combine all ingredients.
2. Bring to a boil.
3. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 25 minutes.
4. Strain stock and reserve for soups and sauces.
