Shepherd’s Pie (Oamc)

 

Ingredients for 4 servings:
1. 6 tablespoons butter
2. 1 1/2 cups onions, chopped
3. 1 1/2 cups carrots, grated
4. 3 tablespoons flour
5. 6 cups beef broth
6. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
7. 1 (14 ounce) can corn, drained
8. 3/4 teaspoon oregano
9. salt and pepper
10. 7 1/2 cups ground beef, cooked
11. 6 cups make ahead mashed potatoes

Directions:
1. Assembly Directions:
2. melt butter in a saucepan and fry the onion and carrots until golden brown.
3. Stir in the flour and cook one minute.
4. Gradually stir in beef broth and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
5. Add the Worchestershire sauce, oregano, seasonings and corn.
6. Cover the pan.
7. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
8. Remove from heat and add cooked ground meat.
9. Mix well.

11. Line an 8×8 baking dish with heavy foil that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
12. pour mix into baking dish and top with make ahead mashed potatoes.
13. wrap with the foil and place in gallon sized freezer bag.
14. Lable and freeze.
15. To Serve:

17. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-30 minutes or until topping is brown and meat is heated through.
18. To heat from the frozen stage, add 10-15 minutes more baking time.
