Ingredients for 10 servings:
1. 56 ounces tomato puree
2. 1 cup water
3. 1 cup yellow mustard
4. 3/4 cup brown sugar, plus a couple more tablespoons
5. 3 tablespoons molasses
6. 1/4 cup cider vinegar
7. 1 -2 tablespoon garlic, minced
8. salt, to taste
9. 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (approximately)
10. red pepper flakes, to taste
11. black pepper, to taste
Directions:
1. Mix tomato puree, water, mustard, brown sugar, molasses, vinegar, garlic, a teaspoon or so of salt, cayenne, and the pepper flakes in a pan.
2. Bring to a simmer over medium heat; simmer until thick, stirring occasionally.
3. If you have meat juices, add some.
4. Add salt and pepper.
