Ingredients for 12 servings:
1. 1/2 cup softened butter
2. 1/2 cup peanut butter
3. 1/2 cup sugar
4. 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
5. 1 egg
6. 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
7. 1 1/4 cups flour
8. 1/2 teaspoon salt
9. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
10. 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
11. 1/3 cup baker’s cocoa
12. 1 (12 ounce) package chocolate chips, dark or 1 (12 ounce) package milk
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
2. Cream the butter, peanut butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the extract and the egg, blending well.
3. Sift the dry ingredients.
4. Gradually add the dry ingredients (about 1/2 cup at a time) to the moist ingredients, mixing until smooth after each addition. When all of the dry mixture is incorporated, mix in the chocolate chips by hand.
5. Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto greased cookie sheets 2 to 3 inches apart. Bake 12-14 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the thickest cookie comes out with only melted chocolate on it. Cool on cookie sheets 3 minutes and transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Enjoy your meal!
